Many support coordinators are overworked.
Often, the complexity compounds to create burnout. That’s why I step in to provide strong problem-solving and reliable support, to ensure your clients always get what they need.
❋ Reliable SupportWe provide support when it is needed; you might need a support coordination report written; you might need to catch up with your clients, but you also need to urgently find an occupational therapist to do an FCA. I’ll be there to take the pressure off.
❋ Quality DocumentationI use technology to ensure accurate documents are kept on each of your clients. If I meet with your clients, transcripts of those meetings are kept in my secure database and sent to you as part of my deliverables.
My confidential case management system ensures easy access to reports, endorsed provider details, contact details for family, advocates, OPG and other stakeholders, incident reports, phone call case notes and emails.
❋ Participant FocusedEverything I do, from finding an allied health professional to accessing emergency care, participant needs are my primary focus.
❋ Clear DirectionSometimes, it’s not the complexity or the amount of clients; it’s the emotional load. When I start to work with you, I’ll discuss with you the best way to decrease the pressure on you and your team, and thereby ensure support continuity for your clients.
❋ Strong RelationshipsWhen working with clients, I often use a trauma-informed approach. Many participants and their families have experienced some form of trauma in the past. This approach allows me to assist each participant to move forward, rather than feel re-traumatised.
It’s not a weakness to recognise you’re behind. It only becomes a weakness if you do nothing about it. If you have multiple complex participants who all need your focus, we’ll do what is necessary to get you back on track: complete a draft of your support coordination reports, follow up with participants, take a deep dive into NDIS legislation/guidelines to answer complex, sticky questions.
Beyond Choice and Control is a concise, compassionate guide to assessing providers with respect to NDIS Practice Standards. A must read for support coordinators, cares and advocates.
